Shiv Gouri Restaurant & Lawns

We are located in Village Maletha, which is about 8 kilometers before you hit Srinagar Garhwal if you are driving up from Rishikesh. It is a quiet spot on the side of the road where we have some open space and a lawn area. People usually stop here when they are tired of the hills or just need a break before the next leg of their journey. We have been here for a while now. The restaurant part is just a normal place where we cook what people like to eat when they are traveling. The lawn gets used for local functions sometimes because there is enough room for people to stand around and talk. We keep the grass as green as we can, though it depends on the season and the rain. It is not a fancy place with big signs or anything. We just have the building and the open ground. Most days it is just us and the people driving past. We see a lot of families and sometimes groups of workers. The address is Rishikesh Uttranchal, 249409. If you are coming from the main town, you just keep going towards Srinagar. It can get a bit dusty on the road but inside the gates, it is more relaxed. We don't do much advertising. People find us because they see the lawns or they know the Maletha area. It is a straightforward business and we stay busy enough with the locals and the highway traffic.
