Alakhyoga - Yoga School India

Alakhyoga - Yoga School India is located at the Dhyan Mandir Ashram in Rishikesh. You have to head towards Khadri Khadak Maaf and the Chopda Farm area to find where we are. It is a bit away from the main tourist spots, which is nice for us. We have the ashram life going on here every day. It is not a luxury resort with fancy spa treatments or anything like that. We have simple rooms and a large hall for our yoga practice. There is a lot of green around us because of the farm. Sometimes you can hear the birds or the wind in the trees instead of the traffic noise. We spend a lot of time on our yoga mats. The floor in the hall is hard and we use blankets when it gets cold in the mornings. Rishikesh has that special air, but we are just regular people living and working here. We cook simple meals in the kitchen and everyone helps out with the chores. It is not a polished corporate retreat. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just use candles until it comes back. Our clothes usually have a bit of dust on them from walking around the farm paths. We do not have a big mission statement to share. We just practice yoga and live at the ashram. People come from all over to stay at Chopda Farm with us.
