Vijay Cement Agency is located in Nandrampur, specifically on Bas Road in Dharuhera. Cement is the core of everything we do here. If you walk into our place, the first thing you will notice is the thin layer of grey dust that seems to cover every surface. It is just the nature of the business. We get large shipments of cement bags from the big manufacturers and then distribute them to local builders and individuals. The work is mostly manual, involving a lot of carrying bags on shoulders. It keeps us fit, but it is definitely exhausting by the end of the week. Bas Road can get quite congested, so we have to be careful about when the big supply trucks arrive so they don't block the whole street. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Instead, we have a small cabin with a fan and a few chairs where we sit and talk to the drivers or the customers. I’ve lived in Dharuhera all my life, so I know a lot of the people who come to buy from us. We don't try to sell people things they don't need; we just provide the cement for their projects and maybe some advice on how much they might require based on our experience. It’s a simple, honest business that provides a necessary material for the growing houses in our community. We close up when the sun goes down and start again tomorrow.
