Kanhiya Harish

You can find Kanhiya Harish at No. 111 in the New Anaj Mandi. The mandi is a busy place, always full of tractors and trucks moving grain around. We’ve been here at shop number 111 for quite a while now. It’s a loud spot with people shouting and deals happening all morning. We mostly deal with the farmers who bring their loads in. It gets very dusty during the peak season. Our office is small and usually filled with ledgers and tea cups. We don’t really have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us. New Anaj Mandi is the heart of the trade here. We wake up early to get things ready before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with crops means you have to be ready for anything. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk. Other days we don't even have time to eat lunch. Kanhiya Harish is just the name on the board outside. We’ve seen the market change over the years. The prices go up and down and we just try to keep up. It’s hard work but it’s what we’ve always done. No. 111 is our second home really. If you come by, you’ll see us there among the piles of bags and the noise of the market. We just keep things moving and hope for a good season every year. It’s what we do.
