If you go down 4th lane in Vidhyanagar, you’ll find us at Plot No-136/1/2640. We are right in the heart of Rayagada. This company was formed by a group of organic producers who were looking for a way to get their stuff to a bigger market. We use this office to manage all the collections from the nearby hills and valleys. It’s a busy place, especially when the harvest comes in. We have bags and containers everywhere, and the smell of fresh grain is always in the air. The Khata number is on the door, so it’s easy to find. We aren't corporate people with suits and ties. Most of us are usually wearing dusty boots because we just came from the fields. We spend our afternoons going through the tallies and making sure everyone gets paid what they’re owed. It’s a simple system, but it works for us. Rayagada has some great land for organic growing, and we want to make sure that doesn't get ruined. We talk to the farmers about how to keep their crops healthy without using those expensive chemicals. It’s a slow process, and some days are better than others. We drink a lot of coffee in the office and try to keep the fans going to beat the heat. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. We hope the next season is just as productive.
