This school and college is located in Boss Nagar, over in Rayachoti. It is a place that deals with both younger students and those who are finishing up their junior college years. Because of the mix of ages, the atmosphere is quite varied. You have the noise of the younger kids and the more serious vibe of the older ones who are worried about their exams. Rayachoti is a town where news travels fast, so most people know who we are. The building is a functional one, designed to fit as many classrooms as we need without feeling too cramped. The staff room is usually full of notebooks and tea cups, especially during the middle of the term. We focus a lot on the schedule because with a junior college involved, there is a lot of material to cover before the year ends. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a lot of fluff. We just stick to the curriculum and try to keep things moving. The weather in Rayachoti can get pretty dry, so we appreciate the shade when we can find it. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to keep teaching through it. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of institution where we just deal with whatever the day brings. No one here is trying to be fancy, we are just working through the books and getting things done.
