R. K. Farms

R. K. Farms is out in Jaitapur, which is part of the Rajapur Taluka. If you have been to this part of the country, you know it is a bit of a trek to get out here, but that is the way we like it. We are mostly focused on the actual farming side of things. It is a lot of physical labor and keeping an eye on the weather. In Jaitapur, you really live by the seasons. When the monsoon hits, everything changes and we have to be ready. We do not have a fancy office or a marketing department. It is just the family and a few workers who have been with us for years. We grow what the land allows. Sometimes it is a good year, sometimes it is not, but that is just farming for you. We spend our days out in the fields, making sure everything is watered and the pests stay away. It is a quiet life compared to the city. At night, you can hear the crickets and not much else. People in Rajapur know us as the folks who stay busy on our patch of land. We do not go around telling people we are the best or anything. We just do our work and hope for a decent harvest. If you come by, don’t expect a tour, we will probably be too busy working the soil to show you around much. That is just how life goes on the farm.
