Ratnagiri is a pretty calm place to work, and we are based in Office number 5 at the Indradhanu Apartment. It is an older building that most locals know well enough. Kanad Coaching Classes is a very basic setup with some benches and a simple whiteboard on the wall. We do not use any of those high-tech digital screens you see in the big city offices these days. It is just us and the students in a modest space that gets the job done. While the office is on the smaller side, it is easy enough to keep in order. Much of our time is spent going over lessons or just checking in on everyone's progress throughout the week. During the monsoon, the rain in Ratnagiri gets incredibly heavy, and you can hear it drumming loudly on the roof. It is a short walk from the main road, but people do not seem to have trouble finding us once they know the landmark. Our staff is small, just a few people who have been doing this for a long time. We usually eat our lunch together in the back corner when we get a short break. The atmosphere isn't like a corporate office; it is much more relaxed and informal for everyone. We just want to get the work done and make sure everything is handled properly. It is a simple life here, and we enjoy being part of this neighborhood. People stop by to chat.
