Sri Venkateswara Traders

Down on Sailana Road, right near the Badbad Naka, you will find our place at Sri Venkateswara Traders. We are located very close to Guru Teg Bahadur Public School, so we get to hear the school bells and the noise of the kids during their breaks. It is a sound we have grown quite used to over the years. The road outside is always busy with all sorts of traffic, from cycles and bikes to the occasional truck. Our shop is not anything special to look at. We have the name painted up on the front and the doors are usually kept wide open to let the breeze in. Inside, it is a bit crowded with all the stock we keep. We do not believe in fancy displays or modern layouts. We just keep everything in stacks where we can reach it. Usually, one of us is sitting right near the front to say hello to whoever walks in. It is a local kind of business. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers along Sailana Road pretty well. Sometimes we spend more time talking with people than actually working, but that is just how things go in this part of town. When the monsoon hits, the road gets a bit muddy, but we just put down some boards and keep going like always. It is a steady, simple life here at the Naka.
