Chauhan Chemist

Our shop is located at 37 Kasturba Nagar, right on the Main Road. It’s a busy spot, and the traffic noise never really stops until late at night. Chauhan Chemist has been around for a while, mostly serving the families living in the nearby streets. The shop is mostly just a big glass counter and rows of cabinets filled with all sorts of medicines and everyday items like soaps and powders. It’s a simple setup without much room to move around behind the counter. Sometimes the delivery vans get stuck in traffic, which makes the morning a bit stressful when we are waiting for stock, but we make do. My father started the business and now I’m the one sitting here most of the time. We see the same people every month, usually folks coming in for their regular blood pressure or sugar meds. The overhead lights are quite bright, which is good for reading the tiny writing on the medicine packs. We don't have a big staff, just me and a helper who knows where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific ointment, we usually know exactly which drawer it’s in. It’s just a regular neighborhood chemist shop, nothing more than that. We keep a handwritten ledger for the regulars and spend time cleaning the glass because people always lean on it while they wait.
