Vanagondi Usharani

Out here in Jakkepalli, things move a bit slower than in the city. Vanagondi Usharani is just our small operation in the Yalal Mandal part of Rangareddy. It’s basically just us working from home and the small space we have here in the village. We’ve lived in Jakkepalli all our lives, so everyone knows who we are and where to find us. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy storefront. Most people just walk over if they need something. The work we do is pretty basic, mostly related to the local needs of the people living around here. It involves a lot of manual labor and keeping track of things in small notebooks. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain makes the roads a bit muddy, but we just keep going. We don’t have any employees besides family members who help out when they can. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a website or a brochure. We just talk to people face to face. Dealing with the heat in the afternoon is probably the hardest part of the day. We usually take a break then and get back to work when it cools off. It’s a quiet life and a simple business, just trying to make a living like everyone else in the mandal. We've learned to fix our own equipment when it breaks because calling someone out here takes too long. Our neighbors often help out if we need an extra hand with a heavy load. It's a nice place to live.
