Lhotse Food Products Pvt. Ltd. is located in Dhobi Pet Village over in Shankarpally. You can find us at Sy No 1234 A and Aa. Since we handle food products, the place usually has a very specific smell depending on what’s being processed that day. Shankarpally is a bit of a distance from the main city, so it’s a quieter area with a lot more space. We have a fairly large facility to handle all the ingredients and the packaging. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and making sure the machines are clean and running right. The staff here are mostly local people from the village or nearby. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to make the place look like a showroom. It is a working factory with pallets stacked up and trucks coming in and out of the yard. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch over to the generators, which is just part of life out here. We take our breaks together and usually talk about the harvest or the weather. It is a very practical, down-to-earth kind of place. We don't put on any acts for anyone. We just focus on making the food products and getting them out the door so they can get to the shops. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s what keeps us going day after day.
