Novotel Hyderabad Airport

Novotel Hyderabad Airport has its offices over here, and even though the address lists Uttar Pradesh 501218, we are tied to the airport operations in Hyderabad. It’s a place that never really sleeps because travelers are always on the move at all hours. We work out of a section that handles the behind-the-scenes stuff that keeps the hotel running. You can hear the planes taking off every now and then, which reminds us where we are. The office is full of computers and people talking on headsets. It’s a bit more organized than some other places, but it still has that lived-in feel with coffee mugs on the desks and jackets hanging on the backs of chairs. We get people coming in from all over, looking for directions or trying to fix their bookings when things go wrong. The staff works in shifts, so there is always someone new coming in just as someone else is heading home. It gets quite busy during the holiday seasons, and we end up staying late a lot of the time. The air conditioning is always running because of the Hyderabad heat outside. We don’t spend much time talking about our goals or anything formal; we just focus on the screen in front of us and the person standing at the counter. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we’ve all gotten used to the rhythm of the airport and the constant flow of people. It’s just a normal part of the day for us at this desk.
