We are based out in Cherlapally at Villa 18 in the Silver Oak Bungalows. It’s a bit of a different setup since we are operating from an old village area within the Silver Oak community. Working with spices and cereals means there is always something to weigh or bag. We keep things fairly quiet out here since it’s more of a residential spot, but we’re always busy behind the scenes. The air usually has a faint scent of whatever we’re packing that day, maybe some turmeric or different grains. It’s a small team here, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. We don’t have a big storefront or anything like that. Most of our work is just staying organized and making sure the inventory matches what’s in the bins. Cherlapally has its own pace, a bit slower than the city center, which we actually prefer. We spend our afternoons checking the bags for leaks and making sure the labels are on straight. It’s not the kind of place with a lot of visitors, just a steady stream of work that needs to be done. We try to be helpful when people ask about our products, but mostly we just get on with the chores. It’s a comfortable place to spend the day and we like the quiet surroundings of the bungalows while we handle our cereal and spice stocks.
