Our location out here at Survey No 99 in Kompally Village is a bit of a drive for some, but it gives us the space we need. Being in the Quthbullapur Mandal area means we are surrounded by a mix of warehouses and open land. At Somany Ceramics, we deal with a lot of heavy inventory, so having this kind of room at 1/1/152 is essential for us. The yard is usually full of crates and there is a constant flow of trucks coming in to load or unload. It can get pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the village fields. We don't have a fancy showroom here; it’s more of a functional hub for the ceramics. The office is a simple room with a couple of computers and a lot of samples scattered around on the tables. We spend our days tracking shipments and talking to drivers. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The staff here is a small, tight-knit group, and we usually share a pot of tea in the afternoons. We’ve learned to deal with the occasional power cut or the slow internet that comes with being a bit further out. It is just a regular operation where everyone knows their part and we just try to get through the daily list. Sometimes a stray dog wanders in looking for shade and we don't really mind. It’s a quiet life in Kompally.
