The name is Avanthika Stone Industry. You can find us at Sy No 70/A in Malkapur village. This is in the Tandur area of the Rangareddy District, pin code 501157. This part of the country is known for its stone, so it makes sense for us to be here. Our site is quite open. There is a lot of dust because of the nature of the stone work. We wear boots and old clothes because everything gets covered in gray powder by noon. It’s hard work, but we are used to it. The sun can be very strong out here in the open fields of Malkapur. We have some shaded areas where we take our lunches. There are blocks of stone everywhere you look. We use machines to move the heavier pieces. It’s not a quiet place at all. The sound of cutting and moving stone is what we hear all day long. We have a small shed that serves as an office, but we spend most of our time outside on the ground. People in Tandur know about the stone business, so we fit right in with the local scene. It’s a rough environment, but it’s honest work. We’ve been operating out of Sy No 70/A for a good while now. It’s just the way things are done in the stone industry here. We keep at it from sunrise to sunset, six days a week. There is always more stone to move and more work to be finished before the day ends.
