Jana Jagruthi Farmers Producer Companylimited

Manchal village is where we spend most of our time at Jana Jagruthi. Our office is at house 1-72 and it is a pretty simple setup. There are always farmers coming by to talk about their crops or the weather in the Rangareddy district. We spend a lot of time looking at ledgers and trying to figure out the best way to move produce around. It gets quite dusty here when the wind picks up, and the sun is really something in the afternoons. Sometimes we just sit on the steps and watch the tractors go by. It’s not a fast life, but there is always something to do. The guys bring in their paperwork and we try to keep everything organized for the producer company. Most of us live nearby so we just walk or ride over in the mornings. You won't find any big glass buildings or fancy signs here, just a regular house where we do our business. We’ve been here long enough that everyone knows where to find us. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of waiting for the right season. Sometimes the rains don't come when they should and then the mood gets a bit quiet. But mostly it is just about getting the work done day by day. We like it this way. It feels more real than working in a big city office with air conditioning all day long.
