Shree Ram Bhandar

Shree Ram Bhandar is located at New Market Chowk on Ratu Road. This part of Ranchi is always full of energy and a bit of chaos too. We have been operating from this spot for many years. Our shop is mainly focused on selling grains, pulses, and other essential food items that people use daily in their kitchens. The building is a bit old and the wooden counters have seen better days, but they are sturdy enough. My son and I run the place together. We spend most of our time weighing out different types of rice or dal for the customers who walk in. People around here are quite particular about the quality of the grains, so we have to be careful about what we buy from the wholesalers. The chowk outside is always crowded with rikshaws and people heading to work. It can get a bit overwhelming at times, especially during the festival seasons. We do not have any computers or modern machines here. We do all our calculations by hand and keep the records in big register books. It might seem old-fashioned to some, but it works for us. We are not looking to expand or do anything grand. We just want to provide the basic necessities to the local community on Ratu Road. It is a hard day's work but it is satisfying. We open early and close when the street gets quiet.
