Scat

We are based right at Piska More, which is a major landmark here on Ratu Road. It’s always crowded and busy outside our door. Scat has been around this area for a while now. We operate out of a fairly standard commercial space. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, just another door among many. Inside, we have set up a few classrooms for the local students. We don’t have any fancy tech or interactive screens. We mostly use markers and whiteboards, and plenty of notebooks. The chairs aren’t the most comfortable in the world, but they do the job for an hour or two of study. We get a lot of students who are preparing for different types of exams. They usually come in tired after a long day at school. We try to keep things straightforward and skip the fluff. There’s no big mission statement on the wall. We just show up, teach the lessons, and go home. Most of our day is spent answering questions and checking homework. It’s a bit of a squeeze when the evening batches arrive, but we make it work. Since we’re at Piska More, it’s easy for kids to catch a bus or an auto-rickshaw to get here. We like being in the middle of all the action in Ranchi. It feels real and grounded, just a normal part of the local neighborhood life.
