Peppercorn

You can find us inside Hotel Landmark at number 1 on Jatindra Chandra Road in Lalpur. We are very close to the Lalpur Chowk, which is a busy part of Ranchi. Being part of the hotel means we see a lot of travelers, but we also get people from the local offices who come in during their breaks. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people moving about in a hurry. We’ve been here for a good while, and the walls have seen a lot of people come and go over the years. The staff usually gets here early to start the day's work and prep the kitchen. It is a straightforward job for us. We set the tables, check the linens, and wait for the morning rush to begin. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the Ranchi heat away so nobody complains much. We don't have any big speeches about what we do or why we do it. We just serve the food and hope the customers are satisfied enough to come back next time they are in Lalpur. The kitchen can get quite hot in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is in this business. We have a few regular tables that the locals always prefer to sit at. It’s a quiet enough spot once you get away from the main road noise. We just keep things moving, day in and day out, without making a big fuss about it.
