Narayan Dental Clinic

If you head over to Upper Bazar, you’ll find Narayan Dental Clinic right at Mahaveer Chowk. If you know the bazar, you know how packed it gets. There are stalls and shops everywhere, and the noise from the market is constant from morning until night. Our clinic is on the first floor, just above a garment shop. You have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to get to us. It’s an old building, so the steps are a bit steep. It is a lot quieter once you get inside and away from the street. We have a small balcony that looks out over the chowk, and sometimes we stand out there for a minute to get some air. The clinic has been in this same spot for many years. We have the dental chair near the window to get some natural light. The equipment is older, but it works perfectly fine for what we do every day. We see a lot of the local traders and their families. Parking is a real problem in Upper Bazar, so most people just walk or take a rickshaw. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with magazines or a TV. It’s just a couple of benches against the wall. We keep a ledger for all the patients and write everything down by hand. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively place to work. We like being right in the middle of all the action at the chowk.
