Lafarge Cement Plant

If you head out toward Jojobera, near Tata Power, you’ll find the Lafarge Cement Plant over in Rahargora. It’s a big site, and there’s always something moving around. Trucks coming in and trucks going out, it never really stops around here. We’ve been part of this landscape for a long time. The dust is just something you get used to when you work at a cement plant day after day. It’s heavy work, and it can be pretty loud with all the machinery going at once. We have a lot of people working here, all doing their part to keep the whole place running. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, that’s for sure. We start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. By noon, the sun is really beating down on the yard. We’ve got our routines down after all these years. The location near Tata Power makes it easy for people to find us. It’s a busy industrial area, so there’s always noise and activity nearby. We don't really do much besides focus on the plant operations. It’s a massive operation, but at the end of the day, it’s just people working hard. We’ve seen the plant grow and change over the years. Some folks have been working here since they were young. It’s a gritty place, but it’s where we spend our time and get things done.
