My name is Rakesh Nandy, and I run Elnius Masala (Opc) Private Limited out of my place at 64 Haranganj in Hurhuru. Hazaribagh is a nice place to live, and starting this masala business here felt right. We deal with all sorts of spices. It smells like turmeric and chili at my house most of the time now. It’s an One Person Company, so I handle a lot of the heavy lifting myself. I’ve got some help, but it’s mostly on me to make sure the stuff we sell is okay. I’m not some big corporation with a fancy building. I work out of this neighborhood because it’s where I grew up. People in Hazaribagh know the Hurhuru area well. Sometimes the machinery acts up or the deliveries are late, but that's part of the grind. I started this because I saw a need for local spices that haven't been sitting on a shelf for years. It’s a practical business. No big speeches or fancy logos. I just want to sell good masala to people who need it.
