Compu Kids

Compu Kids is located on Sharma Road in Dhurwa. We have been here in this part of town for a bit now. It is a simple place where we have some computers and chairs set up for people to use. It’s not a big fancy institute with a lot of funding or high-tech gear; it’s more like a neighborhood spot where kids and others can come to learn a few things about technology. We keep the room as clean as we can, but with kids coming in and out all day, there’s always a bit of a mess to clean up later on. The equipment is basic but it works for what we need it to do. We don’t have a big marketing budget or any glossy brochures. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or see us when they are walking down Sharma Road to the market. It’s a modest setup that gets the job done. We spend our time showing people how to use different software or just helping them get comfortable with using a mouse and keyboard for the first time. Dhurwa is a good place to be, it has a very local and friendly feel to it. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just trying to provide a place where someone can pick up a new skill that might help them out later on. Sometimes the computers act up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing things.
