Birsa Security & Service Settlement

If you go down towards the station, you’ll find Birsa Security & Service Settlement right at Birsa Chawk in Roy Colony. Being on Station Road means it is always noisy and dusty with all the trucks and rickshaws passing by, but that is just part of being in Hapia. Our office is a simple place where we interview guys who want to work as guards. We look at their papers, see if they are fit, and try to find a spot for them in one of the local buildings or shops. It is a lot of back-and-forth communication. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of registers where we write down everything by hand. Sometimes the tea stall next door is the only thing that keeps us going during the long afternoons when the heat is bad. We aren't a big city firm with shiny glass walls. We are just a local setup trying to keep people employed and keeping the places we watch over safe enough. There are always issues with schedules or someone getting sick, so we are constantly on the phone trying to move people around. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we have been doing it here in Roy Colony for a while now. We know most of the shopkeepers around the Chawk, and they know us. It is just honest work, keeping track of the night shifts and making sure the gates are locked when they should be.
