Ajit Bhandar

Ajit Bhandar is situated at Bahu Bazar Chowk on Old H.B Road in Ranchi. This is a very central spot and there is always a lot of movement and noise near the chowk. We are right by the junction, so it is easy to find us if you are in the 834001 area. The shop is a typical bhandar where we stock a bit of everything that a household might require. We have shelves filled with pulses, rice, cooking oils, and all the common spices used in every local kitchen. Besides food items, we also keep some general things like soaps and detergents. The building is older and the walls have seen many years of business. During the daytime, the noise from the traffic at Bahu Bazar Chowk is quite constant, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We started this place a long time ago and have stayed in the same spot without making many changes to how we do things. It is just a matter of keeping the shelves full and helping the people who walk in. Many of our customers are folks who have been living in Ranchi their whole lives and they know they can get their daily necessities here. We don't have any flashy signs or modern interiors. It is just a simple, honest shop where we work from morning to night. We take our time with each person who comes in and make sure they get what they came for, whether it's a bag of rice or some tea.
