Moon Bricks Enterprise

Moon Bricks Enterprise is out in Sahapur Village. We are part of the Birchandrapur Post area in Rampurhat-Ii Taluka, within Birbhum District. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but we have plenty of space for our operations. The land here is flat and open, which is perfect for laying out the bricks to dry. We have been working this land for years. It is a family affair mostly, with my cousins and some neighbors helping out during the peak months. The work is very physical. We spend all day bending over or lifting heavy loads. You get used to the dirt under your fingernails. We have a small office that is mostly just for storing some files and a place to sit when it rains. Most of our business comes from word of mouth. Someone builds a house, and then their neighbor comes to us for the next one. We don't use much machinery, just the basics to mix the mud and haul the water. The weather is our biggest boss. If it stays dry, we are happy. If the clouds roll in, we have to scramble to protect the unbaked bricks. It is a constant cycle of watching the sky and tending the fires. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make enough to keep the place running and support our families. It is a quiet life out here.
