Sathya Driving School

If you go to the Telc Compound in Melayakudi, that is where Sathya Driving School is. We have been teaching people how to drive cars for a long time in Ramanathapuram. Our office is just a small room with a table, some chairs, and a ledger where we write down the class times. We have a couple of cars that we use for the lessons. They aren't new but we keep them in good working condition. Learning to drive is a big step for most people here. We take them out on the local roads and show them how the gears work. It takes a lot of patience. Sometimes the learners get scared of the traffic, so we start in quieter areas first. We also help them understand what the different road signs mean. Ramanathapuram roads can be tricky. We have to go to the RTO for the driving tests and we guide the students through that whole process. It’s a small operation. You can usually find us at the Telc Compound if we aren't out on a lesson. We don't have any big advertisements or shiny signs. People usually find us by word of mouth in Melayakudi. We just focus on making sure people can handle a steering wheel and a clutch without stalling the engine too many times. It's practical work. We are located at the 7/361, A building on the site.
