L M T Petrotech is tucked away on Puliya Mara Street. Number 12/51, if you're looking for the exact door. Paramakudi is a quiet enough place, and we like it that way. We deal with petrotech stuff, mostly equipment and supplies that the local industries need. It’s a lot of metal and heavy parts. My brother and I took over the space a few years back. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease stains on it, which is expected in this line of work. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We're just local guys who understand how these machines work. Sometimes the shipments are late, and we have to spend the whole morning on the phone tracking things down. It can be frustrating, but that’s just how the business goes. We keep our tools on the back wall and the inventory stacked in the middle. It’s not a showroom, just a working shop. We usually have a radio playing in the background while we work on the orders. People come by when they have a problem with their gear or need a specific valve. We do our best to find it in the piles we have. It’s dusty and the sun hits the front window hard in the afternoon. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else though. Puliya Mara Street is home for us now. It's where we do our best work every day.
