Hilltown Shopping

We are at 107, Anna Salai Street in Aringar. Most mornings start with unlocking the front door and watching the street wake up. People walk by on their way to work, and the heat starts picking up around noon. Hilltown Shopping has been here a while now. We keep things simple inside. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down surfaces. It isn't a huge place, but it's ours. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud, especially when the buses go through Aringar, but you get used to it. We know the people who live nearby and they know us. There is a specific rhythm to being on Anna Salai Street. We aren't trying to do anything fancy. Most of the time, it’s just us making sure everything is in its place and the lights are working. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking what came in. Aringar is a busy area, and being at 107 means we see a lot of it. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It's just a few of us here. We try to keep the place tidy. If you walk down this part of the street, you'll see us. It feels like a regular part of the neighborhood now. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a shop on a street.
