Dharani Sugars

Down on Madasamy Kovil Street, things move at their own pace. We are at number 547, right in the heart of Ramanathapuram. Dharani Sugars is basically us sitting in the office and managing the sugar stocks day in and day out. It’s a tight street, so you have to be very careful when the big trucks come through for loading. We’ve had this spot for a long time now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend more time worrying about the sugar prices than the decor. It gets very humid here, which isn't always great for storage, so we have to keep a close eye on everything. We know most of the people who walk by every morning. It’s that kind of neighborhood where everyone says hello. We aren't doing anything revolutionary. We just buy the sugar and sell it to the shops and families around here. Some days are slow and we just sit by the fan, and other days everyone seems to need something at once. We don't use any corporate talk here because it wouldn't make sense to anyone. We just speak plain English and get the job done. If a customer has a problem, they just come over and talk to us. That’s how we’ve always done it in Ramanathapuram. It’s just a regular business run by people who know their trade.
