Bin Salem Engineering

You can find us at No 19/221 on New Street in Kilakarai. This is in the Ramnad District of Tamilnadu. Being near the coast means the air is always a bit salty and things can rust if you aren't careful. We do engineering work here at Bin Salem. Our building is on a regular street and we are part of the local community. Most of the people working here live nearby in Kilakarai. We don't have a corporate vibe at all. It is more like a workshop where we talk to each other across the room. We handle various mechanical and structural tasks. The heat in Ramnad can be pretty intense, so we usually start our work very early before it gets too bad. We have a few machines that have been with us for a long time and they still work fine. We don't believe in replacing stuff just for the sake of it. The office part of the building is small and mostly filled with files and old parts. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you just talk to whoever is available. We just want to get the engineering jobs done right so we can move on to the next one. It is a quiet life in a way, just focusing on the manual work and keeping the shop running.
