Ingersoll Rand International (India) Ltd is based at 35 Bidadi Dasara Colony, on 7th Main in the 2nd Block. Bidadi is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main city, but it is a good location for industrial work. The colony itself is relatively quiet compared to the main roads. Our office is a straightforward building where we manage the operations for this branch. Inside, it is mostly open space with desks arranged in rows. We have a lot of files and computer equipment for tracking all the orders we handle. The air smells a bit like the industrial area nearby, which is something we’ve all gotten used to. We have a small area where we can sit and have lunch together. There are no fancy decorations or marketing posters here, just some technical charts and a big wall calendar. Most of the work involves talking to the factory and making sure the customers are getting their parts. The staff here has been around for a while, so we all know the routine pretty well. We start the day by checking the overnight messages and then we just get into the work of coordinating the deliveries. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment where we just focus on the tasks at hand until it is time to head home in the evening. There is a small park nearby where some of us go for a walk during lunch.
