Our place is located on Amet Road, specifically where it meets the Kelwa Road. It is a wide-open area because you need a lot of space when you are dealing with stone. We have big slabs of marble sitting out in the yard and they get quite dusty from the road and the wind. It’s a heavy business. We spend our days moving these big pieces around and talking to the truck drivers who come and go. The sun gets really hot out here on Amet Road, so we usually have a lot of water and tea on hand. It is not a clean or quiet job. There is the sound of saws and the heavy engines of the cranes. We are just a local marble company and we have been at this Kelwa Road junction for some time now. Most of the people who work here have been with us since the beginning. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft music. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us in our work clothes, covered in a bit of stone dust. We show people the different types of marble we have in the stacks and they pick what they like. It’s honest, hard work under the sun. We are just out here on the road, doing our thing with the stone and trying to get the job done each day.
