Tirupati Marmo Pvt. Ltd. is situated on the Kelwa-Amet Road in Baman Tukda. This area is famous for its stone, and we are right in the middle of it. Our yard is always filled with the sound of the saws cutting through big blocks. It’s a constant drone that you eventually stop hearing. We spend our days walking between the stacks of marble, checking the quality of each piece. Baman Tukda is a place where everyone knows the business of stone. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the fanciest. We just want to do our job and go home to our families at the end of the day. The road outside is busy with tractors and trucks carrying materials to and from the quarries. We get our hands dirty every day, and that’s fine by us. There’s a certain rhythm to the work—unloading, cutting, polishing, and then loading it all back up again. We don't have a marketing team or a social media person. If someone wants marble, they come and find us on the Kelwa-Amet Road. We show them what we have and they decide for themselves. It’s an honest way to make a living and we’ve been doing it for years. The stone is heavy and the days are long, but we are used to it by now. We just keep the water jug full and the machines running as best as we can.
