Sun Shine Stone (India) Pvt. Ltd. is out on the Amet Kelwa Road in Tanwan. It’s a bit of a different vibe out here compared to being right on the main highway, but it is still plenty busy. We work with a lot of natural stone. The yard is usually quite full, and we have to move things around just to make a path for the trucks to get in. We don't have a fancy office or a lot of decorations. Our office is just a place to keep the paperwork dry and the sun off our heads for a few minutes. We handle the stone every day, so our hands are usually a bit stained or rough. It’s the kind of work that makes you tired by the end of the shift. We don't have any scripted speeches for when people visit. We just tell them what kind of stone we have and where it came from. The road outside has its own rhythm, and we just follow along with it. Some days we are cutting stone, other days we are just sorting through what arrived. We don’t use any special language to describe our business. It’s just a stone yard in Tanwan where a few of us work together to keep things moving. We do our job, watch the trucks leave, and then start over again the next day.
