Soni Marble

Soni Marble has been operating out of Morchana for several years now. It’s a dusty place because of all the stone cutting, but that’s expected in this business. We handle different types of marble slabs and tiles that come straight from the local quarries. If you drive down the main road in Morchana, you’ll see our stacks of stone piled up. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a yard where we store the inventory and load it onto trucks. People usually come here when they are building a house or doing some flooring work in the city. We show them what we have on the ground, and they pick what they like. Some days are very slow, and other days we are busy loading vehicles all afternoon. The weather gets really hot here, which makes the work tough, but we just get on with it. We don't try to sell anyone on things they don't need. If the stone has a crack or a weird mark, we tell you. It’s better to be straight about it than have a problem later. Most of our customers are builders or local contractors who know exactly what they’re looking for. We’ve stayed in Morchana because it’s close to where the material is. It’s a simple setup, just us and the stones. We keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the quality of the slabs coming in.
