Soni Marble & Granite

Our place is right on N.H.8 in Bhagwanda. Being on the highway means we get a lot of trucks passing by all day and night. It’s a bit noisy at Soni Marble & Granite because of the traffic, but it makes transport easier for us. We deal with lots of granite and marble, mostly just keeping it organized in the yard. The wind off the road blows a lot of dust onto the slabs, so we’re often out there wiping things down so people can see the colors. It’s a basic setup. We have a small shed for the paperwork and the rest is just open space for the stone. Working out here near Bhagwanda, you get used to the pace of the highway. Some days we have plenty of people stopping in, and other days it’s just us and the passing traffic. Moving these slabs is a two-man job at least, usually more. We use the crane a lot to shift the bigger pieces of granite. It’s heavy work and you have to be careful with your feet. We don’t go in for fancy talk or big promises. We just have the stone here and we sell it to whoever needs it for their project. The weather can be tough, either too hot or raining on the slabs, but the stone doesn't mind much. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time now and know the local area well. It's just a regular yard.
