Smrati Marble Pvt Ltd is located right on Pasoond Tasol Road. If you know the area, it's pretty much all stone and dust around here. We spend our days dealing with slabs and blocks. It's heavy work, and our boots are usually covered in white powder by lunchtime. The yard is where most of the action happens. We’ve got the machines running, cutting through the marble. It gets noisy, but that's just how a marble business goes. We don't spend much time in the office because there's always something to check outside. Pasoond Tasol Road isn't the smoothest drive, but trucks come and go all day long. We've been here for a good while. Some of the guys have worked with us since the start. We keep the inventory stacked up, trying to keep track of what's coming from the quarries. It's not a glamorous job, just hard work under the sun mostly. When customers come by, they usually just walk around the yard with us to see what we have in stock. We don't have any flashy brochures or a fancy showroom. What you see is what you get. Just rows of marble and the sound of the saws. It's a simple operation, really. We just focus on getting the stone ready and loaded onto the next truck that pulls in. Sometimes the rains make the yard a mess, but we just keep on going regardless. It’s a tough trade but someone has to do it.
