Shreyansh Marble

Down here at Shreyansh Marble, we are situated along N.H. 8 in Piparda. It is a busy spot because the highway brings so much traffic past our doors. You get used to the sound of engines and tires on the asphalt. We spend the day handling marble, which is what this whole region is known for. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. There is always a lot of loading and unloading going on. We have piles of stone everywhere and we try our best to keep them in order, though it’s a constant battle with the space we have. Piparda is a practical place to be for this kind of work. We aren't here to make things look pretty; we are here to move stone. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know how the slabs behave and where the cracks might be. It’s honest work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the day. Sometimes a traveler stops by asking for directions, and we help them out. The stone comes from the local quarries and ends up here before it goes somewhere else. It is a simple cycle. We don't have any big corporate ideas, just a yard and some marble. The dust is part of life here, and we don't mind it much anymore.
