About Shree Naman Marble – Building & Construction Material in Rajsamand
Being in Rajsamand means you are right in the heart of marble country. Shree Naman Marble is located in the Piparada area, which is a place where you can’t look anywhere without seeing stone. It’s a rugged kind of place. We spend our days surrounded by massive blocks that have just come out of the ground. The sun here is something else; it bounces off the white stone and makes everything look bright, even in the winter. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning that works all the time. Mostly, we are outside or in a shed with a tin roof. You learn to live with the heat and the constant noise of the cranes and trucks. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and we know the local stone better than anything else. People come from all over to Rajsamand, and they eventually find their way to Piparada. We just show them what we’ve got sitting in the yard. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the trucks go by, and other days we don’t even have time to eat lunch because there's so much to load. It’s a straightforward way of living. No big promises, just piles of marble and a lot of work to do. We like the way things are, even if it’s a bit messy and loud most of the time. It is a long day every day, but we are used to the rhythm of the quarry life by now.
