Shree Guru Ganpati Marbles

Our place, Shree Guru Ganpati Marbles, is situated on N.H. 8, right near Sarswati Marble Pvt. Ltd. in Pasoond. If you know that stretch of the highway, you know it’s nothing but stone businesses for miles. We’re one of the smaller shops compared to some of the giants nearby, but we like it that way. It keeps things manageable. We spend most of our time out in the yard. The sun can be brutal on the highway, so we have a small roofed area where we sit and talk to whoever comes by. We don’t use big words or corporate talk. We just know our marble. When someone comes looking for a specific pattern or color, we walk them through the rows of slabs. Sometimes we have exactly what they want, and other times we have to look through the new arrivals. It’s a lot of physical labor, and our boots are always covered in white dust. That’s just life in Pasoond. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the office. Most of the time, the office is just a place to keep the paperwork dry. We’re more comfortable outside with the stone. It’s a tough business, but it’s what we’ve always done. We like being near the other marble yards because it feels like a community of people who understand the work. We're just here working on the highway.
