Shree Gopi Marble

I started this yard at Shree Gopi Marble a while back. We are right by the Kelwa Chauraha, basically on the edge of the Main National Highway-8. It gets pretty loud with all the trucks passing by, but it’s a good spot for people to find us. Most days, I’m out here checking the new slabs coming in from the quarries. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small cabin and a lot of stone. Dealing with marble is heavy work and my boots are always covered in white dust by the end of the day. People from the village and even further away stop by when they’re putting in a new floor or a kitchen counter. I try to keep a decent variety so there’s something for everyone’s budget. It isn't always easy keeping track of every single piece in the inventory, but we manage. My brother helps out with the loading sometimes when the workers are busy. We don’t bother with big ads or fancy talk because the stone speaks for itself when you see it in the sun. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to move the blocks around, but we get it done eventually. If you are looking for marble for your house, just pull over and have a look around the yard. It's much better than looking at photos that don't show the real grain and color. We just want to sell good material and go home at the end of the day. It’s a simple life out here near the highway.
