Our place is right on N.H. 8, just across from the Rameshwar Mahadev Mandir and that big Reliance petrol pump. You can't really miss it if you're looking. We have been working with stone for years. It's a loud business with the cutting machines running all day long. The white dust gets everywhere, on our clothes and the trucks. My father started this and now we just keep the tradition going. We have different slabs of marble sitting out in the yard. Some are from local mines and others come from a bit further away. People come in to pick out pieces for their floors or maybe a small temple for their home. We don't have a showroom with air conditioning. You just walk around the yard and see what we have. It is hot work in the summer. We talk to the truck drivers and the laborers every morning to get things moving. Sometimes the stone has cracks you don't see until you cut it. That's just how it is with natural stuff. Shree Charbhuja Marble Industries isn't a big corporate name, just us working here. We try to be fair with everyone. If someone wants a specific size, we try to cut it right there. It takes time but we don't mind. We stay open until late evening usually. It's a simple life here by the highway. It gets a bit chaotic with the traffic sometimes, but we are used to it by now.
