Shree Balaji Marble And Granites

Our yard is right on Nathdawara Road in Vpo Piparda. If you're driving past, you probably see the stacks of marble and granite from the road. We spend most of our time out there moving slabs around and showing people what we have in stock at the moment. It gets pretty dusty and loud with the cutters going, but that is just how it goes in this line of work. We have a mix of different stones, some from nearby and some from further away. It’s just me and a few others most days. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. You just walk around the slabs and see what looks good to you. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the yard, other days it’s non-stop with trucks coming in and out. We try to keep a decent variety because everyone wants something different for their floors or kitchen counters. Nathdawara Road is a good spot for us because it's easy for the big lorries to get in and out without getting stuck. We've seen a lot of changes in the village over the years, but the stone business stays pretty much the same day to day. We just show up, cut the stone, and load it up for the customers. It’s hard work on the back, but it's what we know how to do.
