Shree Ambika Marbles Suppliers is based out in Rajsamand Badrada. Badrada is a quiet enough place but there is a lot of stone moving through here every single day. We act as suppliers, so our main job is getting the marble from the source to the customers. Our yard stays pretty packed with inventory most of the time. We have different sizes and thicknesses depending on what the local builders are looking for at the moment. It isn't a flashy business by any means. We spend most of our time on the phone or out with the trucks making sure things get loaded right. Loading the slabs takes time because you don't want anything to crack or chip. We've had some long days when the orders come in all at once and the trucks are lined up. The guys here know how to handle the cranes and the pulleys safely. It’s a bit of a rough environment, lots of heavy boots and grease on the machines. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning. We just have the stone out in the open where you can see the natural colors in the bright sunlight. Sometimes the wind blows the red dirt around and we have to spray the slabs down so people can see the patterns properly. It’s a practical way to earn a living in this part of the country. We’ve been in Rajsamand for a long time. People know where to find us when they need a truckload of marble for a project.
