We are based out in Pasoond, right along the main stretch of N.H. 8. Being Shiva Marmo Tiles Pvt. Ltd. means we deal with a lot of movement every single day. The yard in Pasoond is usually humming with the sound of the saws cutting through the stone. It’s a loud place to be, and you definitely need to watch where you are walking. There is water everywhere because we use it to keep the blades cool and the dust down. Sometimes when it rains, the ground gets a bit muddy and the trucks have a harder time backing into the loading docks. We have a small office near the front gate where we keep the records. It is nothing special, just a desk and a few chairs for when people come to settle their accounts. The guys working the yard have been with us for years. They know the stone better than anyone. We get loads coming in at all hours, so someone is usually around even when it's getting dark. Pasoond is a busy area for this kind of work, so we are surrounded by people doing the same thing. We just focus on our own piles and make sure the orders are ready when the customers send their transport. It’s a busy life but it’s what we know. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t, just a working yard in a busy industrial spot.
