Our place is located along the Amet Agria Road, which is a busy route for heavy vehicles. Shiv Ganpati Marmo Tiles Pvt Ltd is mostly a large yard and a warehouse area where we keep our stock. We deal with tiles and marble slabs all day long. It’s a lot of lifting and shifting heavy items, so everyone here is used to the physical side of the job. The ground is often covered in stone dust, and the sound of trucks idling is pretty constant. We have a small office where we handle the billing and the phone calls. It’s not a fancy corporate environment. There are stacks of tiles everywhere you look, some plain and some with patterns. We get a lot of builders and contractors coming through to check on their orders. When it rains, the yard gets a bit muddy, which makes moving the stock a bit more of a challenge. We don't spend money on ads or a shiny website. Most of our work comes from people knowing we are here on the road and stop in to see what we have available. We take our time to show people the different types of marble we have in stock. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on the materials we have. We keep the gate open early and stay until the last truck is loaded for the evening, which is usually quite late when the demand is high. It’s just a regular yard with regular people working.
