Sangam Marble & Granite

If you are driving along N.H.8 in Bhagwanda, you will see us. Sangam Marble & Granite is just a regular yard where we keep our stock. We have both marble and granite here, which keeps things interesting because the two stones feel so different when you handle them. Granite is a lot tougher to cut, while marble has those soft veins that you have to be careful with. The yard in Bhagwanda gets a lot of light, which is good for looking at the colors in the stone. We spend a lot of time moving things from one side of the lot to the other. It is dusty work, and your clothes always end up looking white or grey by the end of the shift. We are right there on the highway, so the noise of the trucks is something you just get used to after a few days. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just get the stone in, stack it up, and show it to whoever walks in. It’s hard on the back and the hands, but there is something nice about seeing a big block turned into smooth slabs. Bhagwanda is a quiet enough place except for the road traffic. We just keep our heads down and work with what we have. It’s a lot of waiting for the right person to come by.
