If you find yourself on Tasol Road in the Pasoond Industrial Area, that is where we are. We sit right off N.H.8. This part of the region is basically nothing but marble and granite. We’ve been operating here for years now. It’s a practical sort of place. We have a lot of space for our stock. Moving these heavy blocks is what we do from the time we open until we close up for the night. The rain sometimes slows things down, but mostly it's just dry and dusty. We handle all sorts of stones that come out of the local quarries. Some of it is white, some has colors. We don't really try to sell people on anything; we just show what is currently in the yard. The machines for cutting stay running most of the day. It's loud, but you get used to it after a week or two. My guys know their way around a slab of stone. We see a lot of different people coming through looking for material for their houses or bigger projects. Dealing with natural stone means you never get the same thing twice. That’s the reality of it. We don't have a big corporate office. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of rock outside. It’s a straightforward business. We wake up, handle the stones, and go home. That is life at Salasar. We are just local people doing our best.
